Josie Hernandez is an Account Executive at Bostrom; Bostrom is an association management company. In this role, Josie works with her clients’ board of directors and staff to lead the execution of their mission, vision, and strategic plan. She has worked in association management since 2012. Prior to her role at Bostrom, Josie worked with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Before working in associations, Josie completed a successful career in retail management having served as General Manager for a retail flagship location on Michigan Avenue in Chicago IL. Josie is passionate about lifelong learning and sharing her knowledge with others. She taught several cohorts for the Customer Service and Sales Fundamentals Course for the Retail Training Institute at Instituto del Progreso Latino. This course prepares students to receive the Customer Service and Sales credential offered by the National Retail Federation. Josie is an advocate for promoting diversity in the workplace and throughout her organization. Josie is a co-founder and current president of Association Latinos NFP whose mission is to advance Latino leadership in associations, and partner with organizations to foster diversity and inclusion efforts. Josie believes in being a servant leader and has been a member of Association Forum and ASAE, American Society of Association Executives. She was awarded the 2023 John C. Thiel Distinguished Service Award from Association Forum and is a 2022-2024 Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) Scholar at ASAE.
