Why Supporting the Future Matters

The University of Illinois Latina/Latino Alumni Association (IllinoisLLAA) is proud to announce that it has established an endowment fund, The Latina/Latino Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, in partnership with the University of Illinois Foundation.

As part of its mission, IllinoisLLAA is committed to help and support current Latino students in their efforts to obtain a degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. For current students, the financial aspects of achieving this goal are becoming extremely challenging. For the 2013-14 academic year, the average total cost to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana campus is approximately $30,000! The average unmet financial need of students who attend the Urbana campus is approximately $9,000!

Since endowed funds are never spent, each gift designated to the IllinoisLLAA Endowment Fund constitutes permanent financial support. So, please consider a tax-deductible contribution to the IllinoisLLAA Endowment Fund. Your gift will leave a financial legacy that will support future Latino students who attend the University of Illinois to become the next generation of Latino professionals.
