Judy Soto is currently Senior Counsel, supporting Operations Legal for global biopharmaceutical company AbbVie Inc. Soto serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Illinois Latina/Latino Alumni Association (LLAA) and is the Scholarship Chair for LLAA for the 2023-2024 year. Prior to law school, Soto served in the U.S. Army as a Blackhawk helicopter crew chief and is a combat veteran. Soto is the daughter of Mexican immigrants and is passionate about mentorship of first-generation minority students and military veterans, especially within the legal profession. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law.
