Kevin F. Garcia (Gies + LAS 21’) is currently a Business Banking Officer at PNC Bank. In LLAA, he has served as the scholarship chair and now serves as the current Treasurer. Kevin’s passion for social justice and inclusion has driven him to lead multiple initiatives at the University of Illinois and in his career to ensure that there are more opportunities for people with unprivileged backgrounds. Specifically, he co-founded Prospanica at UIUC with the purpose of developing Latinx professionals. Kevin is currently passionate about working with business owners and ensuring that they are optimizing their finances, growing, and protecting their business. One of Kevin’s proudest accomplishments is being able to give back through scholarships. He served as president of the Illinois - Coalition Assisting Undocumented Students’ Education where he spearheaded the HOPE Scholarship at UIUC, leading to over $250,000 scholarship being distributed annually to students otherwise ineligible for financial aid. He was also able to drive the 2022 scholarship for LLAA, one of the organizations that granted him two scholarships to finish his bachelor’s. In his spare time, Kevin runs a business with his wife, North Standard Boots, where he distributes work safety boots. Kevin enjoys going on bike rides, walks, and trying new sports.
