Myriam Durán |
Myriam Durán (LAS’13 and EPOL’15) is currently the Assistant Director of Alumni Supports for Noble Schools. Myriam has served in various roles of higher education/college access spaces including Oakton Community College, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the College Advising Corps, Urbana High School and UIC College Prep. Myriam serves as the Community Involvement Committee Co-Chair for the University of Illinois Latina/Latino Alumni Association and is excited to engage with diverse communities and collaborating organizations in this role.
Myriam is a first-generation college student, proud daughter of immigrant parents from Michoacán and a passionate leader for educational equity. Her fondest memory of the University is time spent with La Colectiva at the University YMCA and morning walks on the Quad on her way to Espresso Royale. In her spare time you will find Myriam swimming, discovering new coffee spots, traveling, and adding to her pottery collection.
