Diana Razo Jimenez, is a Mexican born four time University of Illinois attendee. She is also of Nicaraguan heritage on behalf of her mother. When Diana arrived in the United States, she was an “undocumented citizen” of this country. Citizens however should not be not defined solely by legal status, rather by their contribution to our society, community, and nation. While she is quite proud of her lifelong learning at our university system in the colleges of liberal arts and sciences, law, education, and educational administration and leadership, she is equally humbled and grateful it originated from the work of her mother a school clerk and father a steel worker - great contributors to to our citizenry, industry, and education in their own right. Learning and Labor. “Aprendizaje y Trabajo”. To thy happy children of the future, those of the past send greetings.” |
